Reality Series ‘Love Addiction’ Premieres Tonight On TV One!

The new reality series ’Love Addiction’ from Mike Mathis Productions premieres tonight on TV One!

‘Love Addiction’ captures couples’ relationship patterns on camera under the premise of doing a documentary on relationships. Once the loved one’s destructive situation is established, family and friends gather with one of three relationship experts for an intervention.

Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis, psychologist, Pepperdine University assistant professor, author of several critically acclaimed books, including Thriving in the Wake of Trauma: A Multicultural Guide and Past-President of the Society for the Psychology of Women.

“We all know friends or family members who almost serially seem to end up in bad relationships, or who fall under the toxic spell of a bad romance, and we wish we could help them realize how much better they deserve to be treated,” said TV One President and CEO Wonya Lucas. “This series is not only riveting and full of emotion, it also should provide some great advice for those with troubled relationships and even those who want to keep their relationships healthy.”

In the premiere episode, viewers meet Marcus Foy, 29, and his girlfriend Suzi, 51, who is newly seperated from her husband. Marcus’ mother Adrienne Nixon has always encouraged him to follow his heart but believes that Suzi is too old for him. Marcus loves his mother but wants her to butt out of his life. With plans to marry Suzi once her divorce is final and currently shacking up in a house still financed by Suzi’s husband, Toni, Marcus’ family believes it’s time for an intervention!

The series shares their decision and then checks back several weeks later to see if they have freed themselves or fallen back into the negative relationship.

    Authors, U forgot about a 20 years old girl who loves marcus with all her heart since she was 16 y.o. and she lives far away on the other side of the World and she was always helped marcus to promote his music. she did everything for him, she even came to LA for meeting him there, she was 3 times in LA and each time when she was there she asked marcus to meet with her, but he never replied her! but she got once a lucky day, she met him in Hollywood only by chance, and on the next day they met again. but after that they never met again. on the next time when she got there he promised to come to Hollywod blvd to meet with her, when she came there she was  was waiting for 4 hours but he hasn’t come. she always loved him and he was her first love, first unrequited love… she changed her life because of him, she could get married someone but she believed that marcus only him will be her husband. and now she sees that he’s maybe getting married with an old woman.  that hurts a lot and she just giving up on him…

    Suzie looks familiar to me. I noticed that they put the last names of the black people but not hers. Interesting. He was also on the Janice Dickinsons’ modeling show and crying on Tila Tequilas’ show as well. This is fake. He is a serial reality star. Wow.
