From the creative mind of Christina Martin ‘Debt Collectors’ is a parody of cop shows that follows the exploits of the Federal Debt Collection Agency, a fictional government organization dedicated to capturing and incarcerating those who fail to repay their debts.
The story revolves around Sabrina Rollins: young, black, post-collegiate, between jobs, and sleeping on her cousin’s floor. While applying for jobs online, Sabrina is ambushed and taken into the FDCA’s custody for debts owed to the Columbia House Music CD Club. Unable to pay her debt, Sabrina is given two options: spend the rest of her life in debtor’s prison or join the FDCA. The choice is simple.
